All Singaporean nationals, except diplomatic and official passport holders, require a visa to travel to India.
S$9/- per application would be charged as service charge in addition to prescribed visa fees.

1. Visa for
Singaporean nationals is issued in 2 working days.
2. However, visa application
processing for non-Singaporean applicant who is a PR, or working on EP/WP or a
dependant, requires minimum five working days.
3. Non-Singaporean who is
not-resident in Singapore will not be provided visa services. They should obtain
the visa from the country of their normal residence or country of origin .
The
visa application form duly filled up and signed by the applicant himself, should
be submitted along with two colored passport-size photographs. For applicable

Tourist visa - Is issued to applicants traveling
to India for tourism. Applicant needs to submit two colored photos and
application form. Tourist visa cannot be extended in India.
Transit Visa - Valid for direct transit only.
Proof of confirmed reservations for onward journey from India should be
submitted along with the visa application and two coloured photographs
Business Visa - Issued to those traveling to India
for business - a letter of recommendation from company stating purpose of visit,
places to be visited and duration of visit is to be submitted with the visa
application; an invitation letter from company's Indian counterpart inviting the
applicant and undertaking to take care of all his/her expenses and repatriation
is required.
Student Visa - This visa is issued for the
duration of the course for those students studying in regular academic courses
in India. The students should submit proof of admission to an educational
institution recognized by the Government of India.
Journalist Visa - Journalists and media personnel traveling to India for work-related purposes need special clearance. Non-Singaporeans must apply also with S$20 for usual processing in Visa Section for clearance from their respective countries.
Conference Visa - Are issued for attending
conferences/seminar/meetings in India. A letter of invitation from the organizer
of the conference is to be submitted along with the visa application. Delegates
coming to attend conferences may combine tourism with attending conference.
Employment Visa - Are issued to skilled and qualified
professionals or persons who are engaged or appointed by companies,
organizations, economic undertakings as technicians, technical experts, senior
executives etc. Applications are required to submit proof of contract/employment/engagement of foreign nationals by the company or
organizations.
Transfer of Visa - Transfer of Visa - Submit duly filled up and signed visa application form with old and new passport. If visa is issued in Singapore, transfer of visa, from old passport to new passport is issued against payment of S$10/- on next working day. If visa is issued by Indian Mission abroad, processing time is 5 working days and fee charged is S$20 for fax and S$10 for transfer. In case of US national, fee charged is S$ 20 for fax plus S$ 50 for transfer in total S$70. Please add S$9 our service fee for the above said services.
General Information
1. The duration of stay in India,
for each visit on a tourist visa or business visa is only for period of six
months. Tourist visa is non-extendable.
2. Passport must be valid for
more than six months before applying for any type of visa.
3. Validity of all visas is
counted from the date of their issue.
4. If visa is for more than 180
days, registration is compulsory with 14 days of first arrival in India.
All categories of applicants are advised to observe their stay in India as per validity of their visas; overstay could invite legal action and non issuance of visa in future by any Indian Mission abroad
